Fitta
Warri: "Sababa Vibes"
His
angry and powerful voice sounds like a young Capleton, his
live shows are vibrant and impressive. This is the debut
of a very promising artist who also cut heavy tracks with
UK-Dub pioneers Zion Train. The 17 conscious dancehall tunes
are strong as is Fitta's voice, but the production lacks
a lot of transparency and features too many keyboard- and
evidently programmed sounds and some rather mediocre background
vocals. But never mind: Let this man meet Bobby Digital
or Don Corleone and he will mash up the scene!

"Solid
Ground"-Riddim feat. Fantan Mojah, Perfect, Jennifer
Barrett, Luciano, Natural Black
Again
the Addis Crew laid a timeless riddim. Too bad it's still
sort of an insiders' tip. Not only the heartfelt bridge
and a stunning saxophone-line have got what it takes to
make "Solid Ground" a veritable classic. Not to
mention the wicked snare on the One-Drop. Additionally,
all singers give their very best and make every tune a unique
one. Really hard to pick a favourite but after all: you
ain't got to!

Webcam
HiFi: "Choose Your Friends" - Madu & "War
In The Streets" Kenny Knots (10 inch)
Vibronics' Madu kicks of the first tune on the first
release of Webcam Hifi's own label "Tube Dub Sounds
Records". A warm, mellow and deep tune in perfect UK
Dub tradition (even pressed by Jah Tubby's!), advising you
to "choose your friends wisely". A bit rougher
is Kenny Knots' "War In The Streets", not a heavy,
but a rather contemplative steppers tune. Both tunes come
with wobbly versions and we are looking forward to more
UK Dub outta France!
